What is Football by Ben?

It’s a place to come and read about the beautiful game. I will look to write pieces which interest me. Hopefully they will interest you too. Expect analysis of European football, with a big emphasis on Spain and LaLiga, plus Premier League pieces. There will be some historical and retrospective stuff too, with interviews and lesser-known stories and insights from across the game.

Who are you anyway?

I’m Ben. I have worked as a football journalist for almost two decades, with a large amount of that time spent in Spain. I have worked for Goal, The Evening Standard, FourFourTwo and others, as well as featuring on CNN, BBC, Al Jazeera and more. Hi.

What should I expect here?

I will publish three pieces per week on different topics. Content is free for now, but there will be premium pieces in future.
